The artists in BioDifference use materials and methods that are unique to the new field of BioArt in their examination of the complexities and contentious issues of life in the 21st Century.

The two exhibition curators, Oron Catts and Ionat Zurr, are based at SymbioticA, the art and science collaborative research laboratory in the School of Anatomy and Human Biology at The University of Western Australia. SymbioticA was established to nurture and develop interdisciplinary research, exploration of scientific knowledge, and biological technologies from an artistic and critical perspective.
